bullet Saturday, Aug 5: bullet

tropicalrm2  Swapke slept and slept this morning! It was already afternoon by the time she woke. Jet lag is terrible, though, and can be hard on someone her size. She took it easy today. She woke so late that it didn't seem like such a bad thing to let her have a nice, big strawberry shake for a snack before she ate lunch. She was good, though, and waited to have her cake until later. Everyone is treating her so nice, she says!

Later, she went on a picnic. Boy was she amazed at all the different food! She loved the fruit salad and really liked the American style potato salad. She was so hungry, she took a HUGE cheeseburger for herself. It seems awfully big for her, though, don't you think?

After the picnic, (she ate almost the whole cheeseburger!), she stopped at the garden shed and made another new friend! (Friendly, isn't she?) Little Pierre the Poodle is so good-natured, he seemed to like the sunglasses she found for him! (Don't tell mom Marmod that Swapke has been begging and begging for Pierre to come home with her!)

She tried to help with the new car brakes - (Not a good idea!) She soon learned it's a dirty job and guys just don't like to be bothered when they are trying to get something done! That was the only spot of trouble, though. She was pretty sleepy most of the day and will probably go to bed early. So, see you later!

I hope you enjoy Swapke's diary. Please sign the guestbook (see link at top). Thanks for stopping by! Chris
